Pacific Golf in Sixth at Bill Cullum Invitational

Simi Valley, California - The Pacific golf team is in sixth place after 36-holes at the Bill Cullum Invitational. Senior Thomas Petersson fired a first-round 67 on Monday, October 30 to lift the Tigers to an opening day 295-298=593.

Petersson followed up his opening round 67 with a two-over 74 at the 6,771-yard Wood Ranch Golf Course. The Tigers' 593 puts their team total at +17, just four strokes off of third place.

Junior A.J. Hohn opened with a 74 and 76 to sit in 31st place while sophomore Adam Beckman fired rounds of 76-75 and freshman Bayhaan Lakdawala carded an 80-73=153; currently in a tie for 38th. Junior Chris Rosenau shot a 78-80.

"Thomas played well today and if we can get some guys to rebound and have a solid final round we'll be right in the mix," said head coach Brandon Goethals. "We're going to go out and keep learning and do some things better than we did today."
