Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific men's and women's swimming teams won two more individual events in day two of the Pacific TYR Invitational at Chris Kledsjen pool on Oct. 21. The Pacific women finished the meet in third place, while the Pacific men finished in fourth.
In day two of the meet juniors Ja-Neil Bragg (Manteca, Calif.) and Krzysztof Zoldak (Oswiecim, Poland) both finished in first place in the 200 IM events to compliment their wins in the 400 IM from the previous day. Bragg finished the 200 IM with a time of 2:02.85, while Zoldak finished the event with a time of 1:49.41.
The Tigers also had several second place finishes in day two of the meet. Junior Kristin Okazaki (Auburn, Wash.) finished second in the 100 Fly with a time of 56.79 and second in the 200 Fly with a time of 2:02.00, while junior Wojciech Betlej (Mielec, Poland) finished second in the 100 Back with a time of 50.39 and second in the 200 Back with a time of 1:48.31.
Freshman Devonie Migues (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) swam the 100 Back in 57.75, junior Ziada Jardine (Cape Town, South Africa) swam the 200 Breast in 2:19.94, and Ja-Neil Bragg swam the 100 Free in 52.42, all for second place finishes as well.
The women's swim team will be back in action on Nov. 3 when they take on Cal in Berkeley at 1:00. Both Pacific teams will be competing in the Texas A&M Invitational on Nov. 17-19.
