Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific Tigers men's tennis team won every match in the opening contest of the season as the Tigers defeated Nevada, 7-0, on Saturday, Jan. 28.
With the win the Tigers moved to 1-0 on the season, while Nevada fell to 0-1.
Pacific won each of the six singles matches in straight sets, while the Tigers swept all three doubles matches.
Senior Jorgen Vestli (Hamar, Norway) led the Tigers as he collected a victory at both the No. 1 singles position (6-3, 6-2) and with junior Vladimir Zdravkovic (Pancevo, Serbia and Montenegro) in the No. 1 doubles slot (8-6).
Pacific will be back in action, tomorrow, Sunday, Jan. 29 as the Tigers host UC Davis at 1 p.m.
