Petersson Finishes 44th at Northwest Collegiate Classic

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Pacific's Thomas Petersson (Stockholm, Sweden) shot a 73-72-78=223 to lead the Tigers at the Northwest Collegiate Classic Tuesday, Sept. 20.

The Tigers finished their season opening tournament by posting a combined 54-hole score of 298-300-300=898 at the 2,070-yard Trysting Tree Golf Club.

Sophomore Chris Rosenau (Redding, Calif.) posted a 74-75-75=224, tying for 50th, and A.J. Hohn (Lodi, Calif.) shot a 76-78-71 for a 52nd place tie.

Pacific sophomores Charles Van Sicklen (Stockton, Calif.) and Brett Giurlani (Menlo Park, Calif.) shot three-round scores of 76-76-76=228 and 75-77-78=230, respectively.

Vincent Johnson led host school Oregon State to the team title (285-275-290=850) while taking medalist honors himself, posting a 67-66-69=202.
