Fresno, Calif.- Led by junior Thomas Petersson's (Stockholm, Sweden) seventh place showing the Pacific Tigers finished in ninth at the Lexus Classic, Saturday, Oct. 15.
Petersson fired rounds of 73-74 before shooting final round -1 par 70 to finish in a tie for seventh on the 6,776-yard San Joaquin Country Club course. Petersson's final round 70 was a season and team low.
The Tigers, who stood in fourth place after the first round of 18 and dropped back to 11th after 36-holes jumped back to finish in ninth after team rounds of 287-299-303=889.
Former Lodi High teammates, sophomore A.J. Hohn and freshman Adam Beckman both finishes with a 226 for a 51st place tie. Hohn fired rounds of 72-75-79 while Beckman finished 70-76-80. Senior Gordian Curtius (Lindau, Germany) and sophomore Charles Van Sicklen (Stockon, Calif.) tied for 61, posting rounds of 76-77-76=229 and 77-74-78=229, respectively.
The University of Denver took home the team prize with a 858, while their own Charlie Soule won individual honors with a -3, 210.
The Tiger golf team continues tournament play at The Prestige at PGA West Oct. 17 and 18.
