Beckman Low Man For Tigers After Day One of Lexus Classic

Fresno, Calif. - Pacific's Adam Beckman (Lodi, Calif.) fired a 70-76 to lead the Tigers after day one of the Fresno Lexus Classic.

Beckman's 36-hole score (146) at the 6,776-yard San Joaquin Country Club put him in a tie for 29th going into the final 18 holes Saturday morning. The Tigers, in fourth place after an excellent opening round, now stand in 11th place with team scores of 287-299=586.

Sophomores Chris Rosenau (Redding, Calif.) and A.J. Hohn (Lodi, Calif.) both shot opening rounds of 71 for the Tigers. Hohn and junior Thomas Petersson (Stockholm, Sweden) are tied for 33rd after two round scores of 147.

San Diego State leads all teams with a -1 and Denver's James Love is the current clubhouse leader with a -4, 70-68.
