MORAGA, Calif. – The Pacific volleyball team attempted to tally from a two-set deficit but fell 3-1 (25-23, 25-20, 19-25, 25-19) on the road at Saint Mary's on Saturday afternoon at UCU Pavilion.
Pacific (16-11, 6-9 WCC) out served the Gaels 9-3 as graduate
Alexa Edwards, senior
Jenna Heller, and junior
Emily Van Groningen tallied two service aces each.
In addition to the aces, Edwards paced all players with 16 kills and added 10 digs to notch her 17th double-double of the season.
Joining Edwards in the double-double club was Heller, who dug 15 balls and set a match-high 31 assists.
Fellow graduate
Darina Kumanova continued to stay in her rhythm, totaling 11 kills, which puts her in double figure kills in two of her last three matches.
Senior
Abby Miller saw her greatest involvement in the offense of conference play, tallying 10 kills and reaching double figures for the first time since September 15, 2024, at Grand Canyon.
Pacific will host LMU, Pepperdine and Portland to close out the regular season. LMU is the first of those three to face the Tigers, coming to the Alex G. Spanos Center on Thursday at 6 p.m., which can be seen on ESPN+. The Tigers hold a narrow 13-11 lead in the series against the Lions.
