STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's basketball team continues adding talent to an already strong roster. Sophomore forward Lauren Glazier will join the Tigers after spending her first season with the Pac-12 Champion Washington State Cougars.
"Lauren is a versatile forward, and we think she has huge potential," said Head Coach
Bradley Davis. "At 6'4, she can run the floor, play with her back to the basket and has legitimate 3-point range. Plus, Lauren is a true student-athlete, achieving equal success in the classroom as a Business Marketing major. I not only think Lauren is a great fit for us, but I think Pacific is a great fit for Lauren. I know the Pacific family will appreciate all that she brings to the table."
Originally from North Bend, Washington, Glazier attended Mount Si High School and quickly became one of the best prep players in Washington. As a sophomore, Glazier led Mount Si in scoring 13.0 points per game and, at the same time, added 6.0 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game to her ledger. The 6-4 post player shot 37 percent from the field in 24 games as a sophomore while hitting 16 shots from behind the arc. She scored a season-high 28 points during her sophomore season in a win over Bothell.
After the COVID-19 pandemic limited her to just two games during her senior season, she came back to set a school record in single-game scoring, putting up 35 points against Issaquah High School and was named the MVP of the Oregon vs Washington high school All-Star Game with 20 points.
Glazier provided solid depth for a strong Cougars squad, scoring her season high of six points twice, scoring six in eight minutes against #2 Stanford and six in just six minutes against Cal. In her only season with the Cougars, Glazier appeared in 11 games and averaged 5.7 minutes per game.
The 6-4 forward is the sixth signee for the Tigers this offseason, joining Nyah Lowery, Kenlee Durrill, Jamie Kent, Endigo Parker and Stella Szabo.
