Bradley Davis

Bradley Davis enters his ninth season as the head coach of the Tigers in 2023-24 and his 18th year on the Pacific women's basketball staff.

The Tigers made a strong run at the end of the 2022-23 season, winning their final three home games and a road game at Saint Mary's to earn a first-round bye in the West Coast Conference Championship. As the #6 seed, the Tigers knocked off #7 Saint Mary's in the second round and upset #3 San Diego in the quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals for the first time since 2018. Pacific dropped a 75-72 contest to eventual champion Portland in the semifinal contest.

Junior Liz Smith, who led the team in scoring, was a First-Team All-WCC choice while senior Sam Ashby was an honorable mention All-WCC selection. Coach Davis picked up his 100th career win as the head coach of the Tigers with a 69-61 win over Loyola Marymount on February 2, 2023.

In 2021-22, with one of the youngest teams in the conference, Davis coached the Tigers to a 6-23 overall record and a 3-14 conference record. The Tigers fell in the first round to Santa Clara in the WCC Tournament. The young players shined for the Tigers, with Anaya James and Elizabeth Elliott both being named to the WCC All-Freshmen Team. James was also named an All-WCC Honorable Mention selection.

The 2020-21 Tigers played an abbreviated schedule due to COVID-19. Pacific started the season at home against #1 Stanford. After a setback to the Cardinal, the team picked up big wins over LSU, 73-64, and UNLV, 77-75, to win the Duel in the Desert. Battling through rescheduled games in the WCC season, the Tigers rallied late in the conference schedule, winning their last five regular-season games to even the conference record at 9-9. With a first-round loss in the WCC Tournament to Saint Mary's, Pacific finished at 11-11. Valerie Higgins made history in the 2021 WNBA Draft as she was the first player in program history to be drafted. Higgins was the first selection in the third round by the New York Liberty.

In 2019-20, the Tigers finished with a 17-14 record, marking the program's second consecutive winning record. That season saw two First-Team All-West Coast Conference honorees and five WCC All-Academic honorees, the most in program history. Pacific participated in the Preseason WNIT for the first time in program history, picking up a season-opening 89-60 win over UMKC and a 58-51 win at Drexel en route to a 5-1 opening record. The 2019-20 season also saw the 1,000th career point scored by Brooklyn McDavid and at least nine wins at the Alex G. Spanos Center for the third consecutive season.

In 2018-19, Davis led the Tigers to their first winning season since 2014-2015 as Pacific finished with a 19-13 overall record, placing them as the No. 6 seed in the WCC tournament after leading the conference with 75.2 points per game, a .751 free throw percentage and 10.1 steals per game. Pacific also notched a winning record at home for the second straight season while finishing with their first winning record in conference play (10-8) since 2014-2015. Pacific accepted a bid to the WNIT in 2018-19, defeating Fresno State on the road in the first round. Davis helped Valerie Higgins earn WCC Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-WCC honors, while Brooklyn McDavid also garnered First Team recognition.

The 2017-18 campaign featured the Tigers' deepest run in the WCC Tournament since the 2013-14 season, with Pacific reaching the semifinals as the No. 7 seed before falling to San Diego. Pacific tallied a 10-7 record at home with big wins over UCF and BYU, while its run in the WCC Tournament helped GeAnna Luaulu-Summers to an All-WCC Tournament selection, the Tigers' first since the 2013-14 season. Luaulu-Summers also garnered first team All-WCC honors while Ameela Li and Brooklyn McDavid earned honorable mention nods. McDavid also earned a spot on the First Team WCC All-Freshman squad.

In 2016-17, Davis' squad finished with a 10-21 overall mark, advancing to the quarterfinals of the West Coast Conference tournament and pulling off the program's second road win at Gonzaga in the Tigers' first four years in the WCC. Luaulu-Summers was named to the All-West Coast Conference First Team.

In 2015-16, Davis guided the team through an injury-plagued campaign with a 13-17 overall record. Of the Tigers wins in 2015-16, Pacific posted signature victories on the road at North Carolina and at home over Gonzaga. Senior Hailie Eackles was named First Team All-West Coast Conference, while Desire Finnie earned All-WCC honorable mention accolades.

He was named the 10th head coach in Tiger program history on April 23, 2015 after spending the previous nine seasons on the staff of Pacific head coach Lynne Roberts, the 2014-15 West Coast Conference Co-Coach of the Year. Davis was promoted to Associate Head Coach by Roberts in 2012 and served three seasons in that role before moving to the head coach position. Throughout his tenure as both a head coach and associate head coach at Pacific, Davis has coached 12 all-conference selections, six all-freshman selections, one newcomer of the year and one defensive player of the year.

Pacific's strengths under Davis have been in the post, with the development of nine post players earning All-Conference accolades: Elizabeth Elliott (All-Freshmen Team 2022), Karen Dawkins (Honorable Mention 2007), Valerie Higgins (First Team 2019, 2021), Kendall Kenyon (Second Team 2013, First Team 2014), Brooklyn McDavid (Second Team 2019, Honorable Mention 2021, All-Freshman Team 2018), Danielle Peacon (Honorable Mention 2011),  Kendall Rodriguez (First Team 2012, 2013), Amber Simmons (First Team 2009) and Christina Thompson (Honorable Mention 2010). Thompson also was named the Big West Sixth Woman of the Year in 2010 while Higgins was the WCC Defensive Player of the Year in 2019 and 2021.

As an associate head coach under Roberts, Davis' Tigers appeared at the top of their conference in scoring offense and transformed into a top contender in the Big West, setting a program record with 27 wins and winning the conference title in 2013. Furthermore, Pacific reached the post season four straight years with WNIT appearances. The Tigers advanced to the second round in 2012 and the third round in 2013 before moving to the West Coast Conference.

Prior to coming to Pacific, Davis was the varsity girls' head coach at Chico High School in 2005-06, where he coached the Panthers to a Northern Section CIF Division I Championship. From 2003-05, Davis was the head coach at Durham High School, where he went 52-10 over two seasons. Overall, as a head coach, Davis posted a 78-13 (.857) record while advancing to the CIF State Championship tournament all three seasons. Davis also coached eight players that went on to play collegiate basketball, including two that played Division-I level.

In addition to his coaching, Davis spent eight years as an English teacher at Chico High School. He earned his bachelor's degree in English from the University of California in 1995 and his teaching credential from Chico State in 1998.

Originally from Southern California, Davis spent most of his youth overseas with his family, living in Zaire, South Africa, Bahrain and Switzerland, where he graduated from high school in Geneva.

Davis now resides in Stockton with his wife, Corrie Nichols-Davis. Basketball runs deep throughout the family, as the couple met on the sidelines while coaching together. They have two daughters, Genevieve and Esme.
