STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific baseball team (13-25, 5-13) travels to the Pacific Northwest to take on Gonzaga (14-24, 10-8).
The Tigers have taken three of their last four, picking up two wins over Pepperdine and a single-game victory over UC Davis Tuesday afternoon.
Graduate
Ben Nemivant leads the team in hitting at .409 and is second in the WCC in batting average. Nemivant leads the WCC in hits with 63 and is tied for second in doubles with 14. Graduate
Jeremy Lea leads the conference in triples with four and HBPs with 16. Juniors
Chaz Myers and
Jacob Weiss are tied for the team lead in home runs with four apiece. Myers leads the team with eight stolen bases.
Senior
Grant Stevens leads the team in innings, pitched 62.1, and is second in the WCC. Stevens leads the WCC in complete games with two. Stevens is tied for fourth in the WCC with four wins. Senior Marvcus Gaurin is second on the team in strikeouts with 40.
Gonzaga is sitting tied for fourth in the WCC standings and is coming off two-straight losses to Oregon. Before the mini midweek series, the Zags dropped two of three against Portland. Brian Kalmer leads the team in hitting at .356 and has hit a team-leading 11 home runs. Owen Wild has been Gonzaga's top pitcher this season, pitching 61.0 innings with 69 strikeouts and three wins.
Gonzaga made the NCAA regional last season after a second-place finish at the WCC tournament. The Zags picked up one win over Wright State in the regional before falling to Columbia.
