MALIBU, Calif. - Pacific men's tennis (4-10, 1-3) traveled to southern California this afternoon to face #36 Pepperdine (9-7, 2-0). The Waves took an early lead and did not look back, taking the match 4-1.
Senior Coby McCaig and freshman Tiago Silva evened up the doubles score with a 6-2 win on court three to bring the doubles point down to court two. Juniors Ran Amar and Andre Rodeia fell 6-3 on court two to give Pepperdine the doubles point.
In singles, Pepperdine picked up an early point on court five before junior Peter Alam finished off his opponent on court one with a 6-4, 6-3 win. With the Waves up 2-1, Pepperdine picked up two more wins on courts three and six to secure the 4-1 win.
Pacific is back on the courts tomorrow against LMU. The first serve will be at 1 p.m.
