Biography
2023-24 (Senior)
Collected a 12-5 singles record playing primarily at the No. 6 position. Defeated #13 San Diego and #41 Pepperdine from court six in two sets. Recorded three doubles wins playing between courts two and three. Named WCC All-Academic honorable mention.
2022-23 (Junior)
Had a strong performance as a newcomer. Went 3-3 in singles play on the year, and 6-8 in doubles play, including a convincing double win over the #70 Gonzaga (6-1). Received the ITA All-Academic Award and named to the WCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
2021-22 (Sophomore, Tennessee Tech)
Played primarily at #4 singles for the Golden Eagles. Recorded a 14-13 record in singles play including a 7-4 mark in tournament play. Picked up seven wins in 17 matches in doubles play, teamed with Evzen Holis, often at #1 doubles. Also had a 2-1 doubles record when paired with Mika Berghaus.Â
2020-21 (Freshman, Tennessee Tech)Â
Burst onto the scene in his rookie season en route to an All-OVC second-team accolade. Led the Golden Eagles with 10 singles wins during the spring, going 10-5 overall. Did not compete during the fall after the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Went a perfect 5-0 in OVC singles play. Posted an 8-4 solo mark out of the No. 5 position and a 2-1 record out of the No. 4 spot. Ended the last 10 matches of the spring with a 9-1 singles record. Posted a 3-7 doubles mark, but went 2-1 in OVC play.
High SchoolÂ
Ranked number one in his under 16 groups while becoming the Lisbon Regional Champion which was followed up by winning an under 16 international tennis tournament in Europe. Won the national championship in the under 18 group while playing the number one position for his team. Earned back-to-back titles in 2020 and 2021.
