SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Competing at Westmont for the third time this season, the Pacific women's track & field team participated in the Westmont Classic Saturday morning.

Ella Leroy shined throughout the meet, setting program records in the long jump, and shot put. In the shot put event, Leroy earned the top spot, grabbing first place out of 16 competitors for the first time in her career with a throw of 11.07 meters. Leroy also earned a top-five finish in the long jump with a jump of 4.94 meters. The junior from Chicago bested her previous best of 4.85 meters set at the Sunshine Invite earlier this season.

Kailey Espinoza placed first in her section and earned an eighth-place overall finish in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.54. Nearly breaking her career-high of 13:46 set at the Cardinal Classic this season, Espinoza was eight-tenths of a second shy from setting a new personal best.

Espinoza also shined in the triple jump, setting a new program record with a leap of 10 meters. Breaking the double-digit meter threshold for the first time in her career, Espinoza broke her previous best of 9.45 meters set at the Cardinal Classic last weekend.

Dalee Higgins and Sophia Livingston grabbed top-20 finishes in the 1500 meters as Higgins set a new personal best time of 5:08.67 and a 17th-place finish. Livingston earned a 20th-place finish with a time of 5:16.70.

Pacific returns to action on Friday, March 31, as it competes in the Mike Fanelli Invitational at San Francisco State.
