DAVIS, Calif. – Multiple team members recorded personal best as the Pacific women's track & field team participated in the Aggie Open Saturday morning.
 
Sophie Pazzo, Dalee Higgins, and Elisabeth Garner set personal bests in the 1500 meters. Pazzo completed the race in 15th place with a time of 5:00.95, beating her previous best by nearly five seconds.
 
Higgins, completing the race in 23rd, set a new personal best time of 5:10.53, while Garner earned a 27th place finish with a time of 5:21.44. Garner surpassed her best time of 5:26.29 set last weekend at the West Coast Twilight.
 
Anahi Avila Perez posted her first career sub-20 minute in the 5,00 meters, as she gained a new personal best with a time of 19:35.73. Earning a ninth-place finish out of 17 competitors, Perez surpassed her time of 20:22.38 set in the season opener at the On Your Marks Open.
 
In the short-distance races, Trianne Cooper earned a top-10 finish in the 100 meters, posting a time of 13.64. Kailey Espinoza followed behind in 11th with a time of 13.89.
 
Ella Leroy and Faylinn Berkowitz competed in the 200 meters and finished in ninth and 13th, respectively.
 
Pacific returns to action on Saturday, March 18, as it competes in the Cardinal Classic hosted by Stanford.
