STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific baseball team (1-5) is back at home against Stanford (5-2) on Wednesday, March 1.
The game was initially scheduled for 2 p.m. on Monday at Stanford, but with the extensive rain in the area, it was moved to Tuesday at 2 p.m. and has now been rescheduled for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, at Klein Family Field.
Freshman
Rylan Evans has had a torrid start to the season, leading the WCC with 15 hits and is second in the WCC in batting average at .625. Evans has five multi-hit games and went a perfect 4-4 in the Tiger's win over Milwaukee. Freshman
Peyton Miller is second on the team in batting average, hitting .500 over six games. Graduate student
Ben Nemivant leads the team in RBI with four. Graduate student
Jeremy Lea leads the team in walks with four.
Senior
Grant Stevens pitched 6.0 innings with six strikeouts and two earned runs in a win over Milwaukee. Stevens 9.0 innings pitched, and eight strikeouts lead the team. Sophomore
Owen McWilliam has made a team-leading four appearances.
Stanford is coming off a home sweep over Rice, and the Cardinal outscored the Owls 34-8 in the three-game series. Stanford dropped its home opener to Cal 8-4 and fell in the season opener to Cal State Fullerton 8-1. Owen Cobb leads the Cardinal in hitting, batting .500 with 15 hits and four extra-base hits. Malcolm Moore provides the teams' power, hitting three home runs in seven games.
