FRESNO, Calif. - The Pacific women's (2-2) swim team split their tri-meet featuring Fresno Pacific (0-2) and Fresno State (2-0) on Friday evening in Fresno, Calif. The Tigers extended their series winning streak over the Sunbirds after a 185-60 victory but fell to the Bulldogs 185-77.

Multiple Tigers swam lifetime bests enroute to the 1-1 draw in the meet. Junior
Alexia Ferguson started the barrage of career-bests with a 1:51.79 finish in the 200 free, edging out the second-place finisher by .18 of a second. Junior
Noemi Melendez followed up with a stellar performance of her own in the 100 back, capturing a third-place finish with a time of 58.20.

In the following women's 100 breast, junior
Paige Sondgeroth careened into a fourth-place finish with a 1:03.20. Junior
Kelly Kermoian went for two all-time bests in both the 200 and 100 back. Kermoian followed right behind Melendez with a time of 58.37 to take fourth in the event. She returned later for the 200 back, claiming the first-place finish by .60 of a second with a final time of 2:04.11.

Sophomore
Annelise Thomas followed with a third-place finish in the 200 breast, coming in at 2:24.19 to round out the five Tiger women that swam new career-bests. The women ended the meet with a second-place finish in the 200 free relay with a 1:36.58 to go out on a high note as they prepare for another meet this weekend.

The Tigers return to action tomorrow as they take on CSU Bakersfield in Bakersfield, Calif.
