MORAGA, Calif. – Saint Mary's used strong showings from the back three singles matchups to defeat the Tigers 4-1 on Saturday afternoon. 

Saint Mary's won number one and number three doubles to start the afternoon with the lead. In singles, the Tigers and Gaels battled, with the Tigers down by one already and playing to clinch. The Tigers had a long road back to get a win. 

In number-one singles for the first time this season, Peter Alam was leading (7-5, 2-2) when the Gaels clinched. Aleska Mardjonovic fell (6-1, 6-4) in the number two spot. As his strong season continues, Ran Amar got yet another win (6-1, 6-1). Brandon Park was leading (6-4, 4-4) at the end of the match. Saint Mary's was able to clinch the win in five and six singles. Liam Puttergill fell (6-2, 6-2), and Coby McCaig fell (6-2, 6-2). 

On Wednesday, April 13, the Tigers are back home as they host UC Riverside.
