2021-22 (Junior)
Appeared in 19 matches for the Tigers. Finished with a 1-1 overall doubles record with partner, Liam Puttergill. Recorded a 6-4 win in doubles against Idaho State on March 11. Tallied a 6-4, 6-3 win in singles on April 2 against Loyola Marymount in a match the Tigers won 4-2.
2020-21 (Sophomore)
Team opted out of 2020-2021 season.
2019-20 (Freshman)
Went 3-10 in singles with wins over New Mexico State, Grand Canyon and UC Irvine. Had one doubles win over San Diego.
High School
Was a five-star recruit out of Modesto High School. Was a three-time Conference Singles Champion and a three-time League MVP. Won sectional singles titles in 2018 and 2016 and was a finalist in 2017. Lost only one match in his high school career going 61-1 in his time. Is a top-10 player in the USTA's Northern California Juniors Section and was ranked as a top-80 player in the nation. Finished his high school career with a 4.18 GPA.
Personal
Born to Richard and Leticia McCaig in Modesto. His mother played three years of professional tennis after a collegiate career that saw her earn four All-American titles in singles and doubles. His father played two years of tennis at Foothill Junior College. Coby has two older brothers, Christian and Nolan.
