STOCKTON, Calif. – The Tigers are back home for a single midweek game with Sacramento State. The two teams have met once already this season, a 5-2 Tigers win in Sacramento. 

Brandon Motheral leads the team in batting average (.308) and slugging percentage (.514) while being second in home runs (6). Thomas Gavello leads the team in home runs (7), extra-base hits (17) and RBI (22). Chaz Myers leads the team in hits (39), doubles (11), OBP (.413) and at-bats (130). 

Jackson Vaughan leads the team in ERA (2.14). Hunter Schilperoort leads the team in saves (7) and batting average against (.187). Nick Swanson leads in appearances (18) and has yet to allow a home run this season. Hunter Hayes leads the team in innings pitched (46.0) and strikeouts (40). 

Gavello is tied for third in home runs and fourth in extra-base hits in the conference. Gavello and Myers are tied for third in HBP (9), while Myers is tied for third in extra-base hits. Swanson is tied for the conference lead in appearances, and Schilperoort is tied for the lead in saves. 

Sacramento State is 17-18 this season and is 9-9 in WAC play. The Hornets are coming off a series win over Seattle U last weekend, highlighted by a 15-5 win to open the series. 

The Tigers defeated the Hornets earlier this season thanks to a home run from Motheral and a two-RBI game from Myers. The Tigers will look to continue their success at home against Sacramento State, where they are 10-5.
