STOCKTON, Calif. – After a four-game weekend, the Tigers start WCC play this weekend, hosting Gonzaga in a three-game series.
Brandon Motheral leads the Tigers in batting average (.364),
Colby Canales leads the Tigers in extra-base hits (8), slugging percentage (.680), and OPS (1.119).
Thomas Gavello is tied with Canales for the team lead in home runs (4) and leads the team in RBI (17).
Chaz Myers leads the Tigers in hits (20) and doubles (6).
Hunter Hayes leads the Tigers in innings pitched (20.2) and strikeouts (21). Jackson Vaughn leads the staff in ERA (1.13), while
Nick Swanson has the most appearances on the season (8).
This season,
Caden Duke has been a multi-use player for the Tigers, pitching in five games with a start and hitting two home runs and driving in five runs.
The Bulldogs have started the season 11-4, including sweeps of Cal State Fullerton and Oklahoma State. Gonzaga is currently on a two-game losing streak, as they dropped two of three to Long Beach State.
