STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific Women's Water Polo team opens conference play at home on Wednesday, March 16, hosting Fresno Pacific for an evening game at the Chris Kjeldsen Pool. Game time will be 5 p.m.
The Tigers hold a 16-0 overall record against the Sunbirds, with their last match a 22-8 win in April 2021 and holding a 13.94 average goals-per-game record against the 'Birds.
Pacific is coming off a big win on Sunday against San Jose State. The Tigers fought tough to earn an 8-7 victory over the Spartans and hope to ride that momentum into Wednesday's game.
"It was a big win [Sunday]," said graduate student
Mariana Duarte. "We are super excited going into conference now that we've got our mojo back. We're back on track. We're coming together as a team, and our defense is playing super well. We're adapting and cheering for each other. That's what it means to be a Tiger."
