Tigers fall to #5 Hawaii

Box Score STOCKTON, Calif. – The #17 Pacific Women's Water Polo team hosted the Rainbow Wahine of #5 Hawaii on Saturday. The Tigers didn't hold back, shooting consistently throughout the match, but fell to the 'Bows 4-9.

"I'm really proud of the defense today," said Head Coach James Graham. "The defense made that a winnable game; we just have to put our shot opportunities away. We have another chance to do so tomorrow."

Graduate student Mariana Duarte had two goals in the match, senior Toula Falvey had one, and freshman Szamira Koppány had one.

Duarte, senior Emma Myall and Koppány each had one assist. Redshirt junior goalkeeper Clara Vulpisi had 14 saves in the game, for a save percentage of .609.

The Tigers host #12 San Jose State Sunday at noon at the Chris Kjeldsen Pool.
