Tigers Host Homestand With Two Highly-Ranked Teams

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific Women's Water Polo team hosts two highly-ranked teams this weekend for an exciting homestand.

The Tigers take on the Rainbow Wahine Saturday at the Chris Kjeldsen pool at noon. #5 Hawaii has an undefeated record against the Tigers.

In another game at Chris Kjeldsen Pool on Sunday, the Tigers take on #12 San Jose State. The Spartans lead the Tigers 11-2. The last match between the teams was in January 2022, with the Tigers barely coming up short 13-14.

"We are really excited about the homestand and the opportunity for us to prove the quality of our program against two highly ranked teams," said Head Coach James Graham.

Graduate student Mariana Duarte currently leads the team with 27 goals, while freshman Szamira Koppany is the team leader with 13 assists.

Senior Brianna Utas is second in the GCC with steals at 21, and redshirt junior goalkeeper Clara Vulpisi is third in the conference with 100 saves.
