STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific volleyball team dropped a straight-set decision to Pepperdine Saturday afternoon, falling 25-16, 25-23, 25-20 at the Alex G. Spanos Center.

Greg Gibbons said. "We have an opportunity to get better at our execution on offense next week."
Biamba Kabengele led the Tigers (13-12, 5-8) throughout the match, recording her eighth double-double with a 12-kill and 12-dig performance. Recording her fifth-straight match with a double-digit kill total, Kabengele has accumulated 80 kills during that span and ranks sixth in the league with 160 conference kills.
After the Waves (18-7, 9-5) took the opening set, the Tigers nearly pulled out a comeback to even the scoring in a tightly contested second frame. Trailing by five, 23-18, late in the set, the Tigers recorded four-straight points to get within one, 23-22.

Jenna Heller during the run and an attack error from the Waves helped propel the team. Despite the comeback efforts, the Waves grabbed two of the final three points to secure the set win.
The Waves powered through the third set to secure the match win.
Pacific returns to action as the Tigers continue conference play next week.
