SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Fresh off their second consecutive victory, the Pacific men's basketball team (17-8, 5-4) aims to get revenge from a loss in January when they travel to the City by the Bay to face San Francisco (16-8, 5-4) on Thursday night.
Having already surpassed their win total in conference play from a season ago, Pacific will look to jump to two games over .500 in WCC competition in their matchup against the Dons.

LAST TIME OUT:
- Tallying their seventeenth overall victory of the season, the Tigers have now officially secured a winning record for the 2019-20 season, marking the first time Pacific has reached this achievement since 2013-14.
- Notching their twelfth win at home and fifth in conference play, junior Broc Finstuen was named the City of Stockton Human Resources Hardworking Player of the Game after finishing with 11 points, 5 rebounds and one assist on 4-of-5 shooting from the field.
- Providing a spark off the bench, sophomore Jahbril Price-Noel poured in a team-high 16 points in 25 minutes played for UOP.
- Additionally, junior Amari McCray established a new season and career-high with 11 total rebounds.
- The Tigers led the Toreros in second chance points. (12-6), bench points (43-18), points in the paint (32-26) and fast break points (12-11).
THINGS TO KNOW:
- Pacific leads the WCC in scoring defense (64.5), rebounding defense (28.2) and defensive rebound percentage (.795) while also placing second in the conference in field goal percentage defense (.410), rebounding offense (36.5), rebounding margin (+8.3), offensive rebounds (278/11.1), blocked shots (98/3.9) and offensive rebounding percentage (.339).
- Senior Jahlil Tripp continues to put together an all-conference campaign, leading the Tigers in scoring average (15.1 points per game), which places him eighth in the WCC. Furthermore, the Brooklyn, N.Y. native still sits at the top of the conference in rebounds with a total of 202 and an average of 8.1 per game.
- Freshman Pierre Crockrell II continues to show why he is one of the nation's most efficient point guards, leading the WCC in assist/turnover ratio (3.6) while also ranking eleventh in assists per game (3.6).
- The Tigers have proved to be a force to be reckoned with on the defensive side of the ball as junior James Hampshire ranks second in the conference in blocks with 30 total and an average of 1.3 per game.
- Finding his rhythm on the hardwood, junior Justin Moore continues to be lethal from behind-the-arc, currently leading the WCC in three-point field goal percentage with a .488 clip (20-41).
SCOUTING THE DONS:
- San Francisco previously defeated Pacific this season, 79-75, on Saturday, Jan. 11 at the Alex G. Spanos Center.
- UOP is looking for their first win over USF since a 79-70 home win on Feb. 25, 2016, having dropped seven consecutive contests to the Dons.
- Santa Clara, Pepperdine, USF and Pacific all currently sit in a four-way tie for third place in the WCC standings, with each team sporting a 5-4 record in conference play.
- USF has proven to be dangerous with the ball in their hands, ranking in the top five in the conference in scoring offense (77.2), scoring margin (+7.4), free-throw percentage (.722), rebounding offense (865/36.0), offensive rebounds (261/10.9), offensive rebound percentage (.309) and three-point field goals made (229/9.5).
- Redshirt junior Charles Minlend is a piece the Tigers will have to focus on defensively as the guard currently ranks ninth in the WCC with a scoring average of 14.8 points per game.
- Making their presence known down low, the Dons have two players in the top ten in rebounds per game in senior Jimbo Lull (6th- 6.8) and Josh Kunen (9th- 6.2).
- Additionally, junior Jamaree Bouyea has shown his strong defensive skills this season, leading the conference in steals per game (1.9) heading into the matchup against Pacific.
