Tigers Knocked Off By Northern Colorado

STOCKTON, Calif. - GeAnna Luaulu-Summers dropped 16 points and had recorded six steals, while Desire Finnie and Anaya Brooklyn McDavid registered 12 points, but the Tigers fell to Northern Colorado, 80-55 Sunday afternoon in Greeley, Colorado. 

The Tigers are now 4-3 overall heading into the duel with Fresno State, while Northern Colorado moves to 6-2 on the season.

In Case You Missed It

  • McDavid started off shooting 100% from the floor in the first quarter and entered halftime 4-5 with eight points and finished with 12 points and two steals in 20 minutes. 
  • The Tigers gained momentum in the second quarter forcing three straight UNC turnovers and turning them into six quick points.
  • Pacific went on a 12-0 run to start the second quarter to come within four, 25-21 and holding the Bears to four points in the first seven minutes.
  • Luaulu-Summers tallied up 10 points by halftime, extending her streak to eight straight games scoring in double figures. She finished with 16 points, a season-high six steals and went 4-4 at the charity stripe. 
  • Finnie also scored in double digits for the fifth time this season and ended the game with twelve points, three rebounds, and shot 46-percent (5-11) from the floor.
  • Pacific held the advantage in offensive boards (9-4), second chance points (6-0), steals (11-8), points off turnovers (16-14), and on court points (41-21).

  • AMAZING-Li: Ameela Li has six straight games scoring double figures, the longest streak of scoring 10 or more points in her career. She finished the day with 11 points and shot 50-percent from the floor.
  • TIGER QUARTET: Today's contest is the fourth straight game and fifth game this season that at least four Tigers have scored double digits.
  • CAPITALIZING: The Tigers forced 19 Bears turnovers and was able to get 16 points off the Bears' mistakes. The Tigers also took the ball away from the Bears 11 times, which is the third most steals this season.

Pacific travels south to Fresno State on Thursday, December 7 to continue the long rivalry with the Bulldogs.
