Sydney Ward and Winner Bartholomew Represent Pacific in Postseason Awards

3/3/2026 11:02:00 AM

STOCKTON, Calif. – Ahead of the conference tournament, the West Coast Conference announced its women's basketball postseason awards lists – naming senior Sydney Ward and sophomore Winner Bartholomew members of the Honorable Mention Team on Tuesday morning.

Ward is currently the team's second leading scorer – averaging 11 points per game and her 30-point performance against Gonzaga on senior day is the highest scoring game by a Tiger this season (one of just six student-athletes in the conference to reach the 30-point milestone). She has separated herself as one of the best free throw shooters in the country, ranking 76th nationally with an 83.8% shooting percentage. This efficiency has trickled down to the other parts of her offensive game where she leads the team with a 50.7% field goal shooting percentage and a team leading 39.7% shooting clip from three.

However, Ward is better known for her defensive capabilities where she is the WCC's fifth leading rebounder this season and number five shot blocker in the conference. Entering the conference tournament, she has 195 boards – meaning in just five more rebounds she will be the second Tiger this decade to reach 200 rebounds in a season. As a shot blocker, she is one of two student-athletes to repeat as top-ten shot blockers in the WCC (junior teammate Marina Radocaj) and when she reached 30 blocks became the fourth Tiger in program history to reach 30 blocks in a season multiple times.

The team's leading scorer, Bartholomew averages 13.3 points per game this season highlighted by a 28-point outing against LMU in January. The 11 field goals she made to reach the 28 points tie for third amongst WCC student-athletes. Much like her teammate, Bartholomew has been efficient with her scoring chances, ranking sixth in the conference among qualifying student-athletes (45.1%) and is a top-ten free throw shooter – ninth at 77.6%. She is also the team's second leading rebounder at 5.5 per game.

The pair will take the court again on Friday in the second round of the WCC tournament, where the Tigers await either number-12 seed Seattle or number-9 seed Washington State. Pacific defeated both schools earlier in the season in Stockton – the only meeting with both schools. Tipoff from Orleans Arena in Las Vegas is set for noon and can be seen on ESPN+.
