Pacific Completes Infield Renovation

STOCKTON, Calif. -Klein Family Field underwent significant renovations over the last few weeks as the Tigers will enjoy a completely remade infield this upcoming season.  The field itself was re-sodded and replaced by Colony Landscaping, the same company that has worked on the 49ers' field at Levi Stadium in the past.  Colony has also worked on a number of collegiate baseball fields, including Stanford.

Head Coach Mike Neu expressed excitment over the brand-new infield, saying that "we are constantly working to improve our program and give our players the best possible experience. This is another step in the continual growth here at Pacific."

The work included re-sodding the entirety of the infield grass as well as parts of foul territory and the outfield with regular cut, big roll, overseeded Bermuda grass planted on top of a brand-new USGA sand top-dressing.  The lips along the perimeter of the infield dirt were also remade and leveled at all points.  In all, the project installed over 10,000 square feet of brand-new grass on the field.

In addition to all areas around the infield, the project also replaced two areas near the foul lines in left and rightfield.  The entirety of the grass area behind home plate was also complete re-sodded.
