Stockton, Calif. – The Pacific women's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision on Saturday, April 18 in their last regular season match against Loyola Marymount. The Tigers fell to 8-12 overall and 2-7 in WCC action, while Loyola Marymount improved 4-19 overall and 1-8 in WCC play.
The Tigers took the doubles point with wins by partners Hana Ritterova and Iveta Masarova, and Cristina Saenz de Buruaga Ruiz and Regina Suarez at No. 1 and No. 3. Ritterova secured a point in singles, defeating Loyola Marymount's Jessica Perez 6-4 and 6-2 at No. 1. Masarova also picked up a point, winning her singles encounter 6-3, 6-4 over Andrea Crespo, but the Lions took the match victory.
The Tigers are next in action on Wednesday, April 22 at the West Coast Conference Championships in San Diego. The match time and opponent is to be announced.
