Game Notes - at Sacramento State

The Tigers and the Hornets meet for the second time this season as Pacific looks to even the home-and-home series on Tuesday afternoon. Sacramento State took the first game of the two-game series with a 3-2 win at Klein Family Field on Mar. 31. The Hornets scored a late eighth inning run to come away with the win, using a pair of hits to do their damage. The starting pitching matchup is a repeat of the game from two weeks prior as both starters picked up no-decisions for their efforts. Last season the two teams split their two-game series with each team holding serve on their home fields.

Last Time Out
The Tigers were swept for the first time as members of the WCC as Pacific dropped a three-game series at San Diego. USD won all three games by a combined 28-8 score. Injuries depleted the Tigers' throughout the weekend as the offense struggled to find its way hitting just .198 over the weekend. Freshman Lucas Halstead led the way by going 3-for-8 in two games played.
