Four Tigers Earn All-Academic Honors From The WCC

Stockton, Calif. – The West Coast Conference announced today the 2014 West Coast Conference Volleyball All-Academic Team.  The group includes four student-athletes named to the all-academic squad for the second straight year which included junior Kat Schulz who posted the conference's top GPA and junior Kimmy Whitson.

In addition to Schulz and Whitson earning their second-consecutive all-academic award, junior Mia Feiner picked up her second-straight honorable mention award for her work in the classroom and on the court as a defensive specialist. Sophomore Alicja Wilk made her first appearance on the all-academic team as an honorable mention in her first year of eligibility.

This season, 19 nominated volleyball student-athletes posted a GPA of 3.50 or better while eight recorded a mark of 3.75 or higher.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport.  To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to her team.
