Stockton, Calif. – Pacific Track ran at the Hornet Invite on Saturday, March 16 and set seven season best times. The Tigers saw Becky Grabow finish with a 10th place finish in the 5K with a time of 18:57.71, which was a school record.
Following Grabow in the 5K was Grace McManus with a 17th place finish, clocking in with a time of 20:26.21.
Head Coach Josh Jones added about Grabow's race, "Becky had a good time for her 5K. Next time she runs the 5K, Becky will definitely run a faster time because she will pace herself better."
In the 1500m, Melissa Hopper paced the Tigers with a time of 5:17.50. Closley behind was Jessica Guerra and Karla Segura with times of 5:29.30 and 6:09.48, respectively.
In the 800m, Mia Knipper led the Tigers with a 12th place finish and a time of 2:24.86. Lauren Nakaso and Dale Dong ran times of 2:30.51 and 2:44.73, respectively.
Head coach Josh Jones said of the day, "The ladies ran great today, Mia had a great 800m and most likely would have won her heat but was tripped up with 300m left." He added, "Lindsay ran her first steeple chase and finished in seventh place. Overall it was a very good mid-season meet and now we start to get those times down. I couldn't be happier with the team."
