Box Score

Berkeley, Calif. – The Pacific Field Hockey team resumed NorPac Conference play Sunday, Sept. 25 against the California Golden Bears. The Tigers dropped the contest 4-0 to the No. 12 team in the country.

The Tigers threatened early against a tough California defense, and were rewarded with three straight penalty corners just over three minutes into the contest. However, the opportunities did not translate to goals.

Goalkeeper Ashlee Schlesier racked up her third double-digit save performance for the season turning away 12 shots. The junior from San Diego, Calif. came into the game tied for 12th in the nation with 7.83 saves per game, and she improved that mark to 8.42 after her effort against California.

The Tiger defense also held strong for most of the afternoon turning away nine penalty corners, but the Golden Bears tacked on three goals in the second half to push the score to 4-0.

Pacific returns home for a contest on Sunday, October 2 at noon against Robert Morris on Brookside Field.
