San Jose, Calif. - Competing in the first game of the 2011 season, Pacific's women's water polo team fell to No. 3 California, 12-6. With the loss the Tigers fell to 0-1 on the season while the Golden Bears improved 5-0 on the year.
The Tigers were led by Elise Martin (Calgary, AB, Canada) who tallied three goals for the Tigers. Freshman Michele Relton (Beaconsfield, QC, Canada) recorded six saves in the the cage for Pacific.
Pacific continues action at 4 p.m. against Santa Clara.
