Final Stats

Berkeley, Calif. - The Pacific Field hockey team played a strong first half, but was unable to hold on late as they fell on the road to Cal, 3-0 Saturday, September 18th 2010. The Tigers fall to 0-7 overall and 0-2 in NorPac play.

Pacific and Cal played to a scoreless first half draw. A fifteen minute period in the second half would provide all the offense that the Golden Bears needed. In the 42nd minute, Claire Dougherty scored the games first goal, and Cal would follow up with a goal from Megan Psyllos four minutes later. A goal from Kendra Bills eight minutes later would round out the days scoring.

For the Tigers, the freshman continued their strong play with Emily Tregoning (San Jose, Calif.), Alohilani Ornellas (Escondido, Calif.) and Katelyn Tatar (Bonita, Calif.) all taking shots in the game. Sophomore Jenna Vivian (Gilroy, Calif.) and senior Sarah Miceli (Los Gatos, Calif.) also had shots for Pacific. Senior Megan Pedersen (Escondido, Calif.) recorded her first defensive save of the year. Sophomore Ashlee Schlesier (San Diego, Calif.) started in goal and recorded ten saves.

Pacific next takes the field Saturday, September 25th when they travel to St. Louis, Mo. to take on the St. Louis Billikens at 1 p.m.
