No. 17 Pacific Downs Eagles, 10-8.

Fresno, Calif. -- The Pacific women's water polo team defeated Concordia, 10-8. With the win the Tigers improved to 15-4 on the year while the Eagles fell to 8-4 on the season.

In the first frame Pacific acquired the 3-0 on goals from freshman Jasmine Myles (Auckland, New Zealand) and back-to-back goals from junior Bridget Geck (Huntington Beach, Calif.) at the 6:52, 4:16 and 2:37 points respectively. With :30 remaining in regulation, Concordia found the back of the net to make it a 3-1 contest to end the quarter.

The Eagles kicked off the second quarter notching a goal at the 7:11 mark to cut Pacific's lead to one. Junior Dara Tawarahara's (Honolulu, Hawaii) goals at the 4:37 and 1:21 point put the Tigers up by three entering the half. At the start of the third Geck tallied back-to-back goals at the 6:42 and 6:18 marks to give Pacific the 6-3 lead but the Eagles countered at the 6:00 and 4:42 points to cut Pacific's lead to one.

In the final frame juniors Bethany Quertermous (Humble, Texas), Catherine Collett (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and Geck notched consecutive goals to make it a 10-5 game. Concordia closed out the game notching three successive goals for a 10-8 final score.

Junior Bridget Geck (Huntington Beach, Calif.) notched five goals for the Tigers while freshman Brooke Millar (Auckland, New Zealand) recorded seven saves in the cage for Pacific.

Pacific continues action at 4 p.m. against host Fresno-Pacific.
