Santa Clara, Calif. - The Pacific women's water polo dropped a 14-4 decision to No. 4 California, on Sunday, Feb. 1 at the NorCal Tournament. The loss dropped the Tigers to 0-3 on the season, while the Bears improved to 6-0 on the year.
After starting off scoreless in the first half, the Tigers rallied together to put 2 goals on the board in both the third and fourth quarters. This surge by the offense was not enough to top the Bears as they jumped out to an early lead and would never relenquish it.
The Tigers were led by junior Alex Kutac (Houston, Texas), who scored a pair of goals. Sophomores Dara Tawarahara (Honolulu, Hawai'i) and Siobhan Larsen (Mundelein, Ill.) each added a goal.
Pacific is next in action against Cal State Monterey Bay at 4:45 p.m. today.
