Pacific Closes Out Exhibition Season With 2-0 Loss to Victoria

Stanford, Calif. - The Pacific Tigers field hockey squad concluded its 2008 exhibition season with a 2-0 loss to Victoria on Monday, Aug. 25.

After a slow start that saw the Tigers held without a shot in the first period, Pacific matched Victoria with four shots in the second half.

Victoria scored single goals in each half, taking a 1-0 lead 14 minutes into the contest. The Vikes added an insurance goal, just over nine minutes into the second half.

Pacific kicks off their 2008 regular season on Saturday, Aug. 30 as the Tigers host NorPac Conference rival, California, in a non-conference battle at 1 p.m. in Brookside Field.
