Tempe, Ariz. - The Pacific women's water polo team dropped a 22-8 decision at the hands of the No. 4 ranked Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine on Thursday, April 26th in the first round of the 2007 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation tournament.
With the loss, the Tigers fall to 5-24 on the season, while the Rainbow Wahine improve to 17-8.
The Tigers were led by junior Kellie Fletcher (Roseville, Calif.) who scored five goals in the loss. Fletcher scored 13 goals combined in Pacific's two contests with Hawai'i this season.
Freshman Sarah Harris (Cape Town, South Africa), the MPSF's leading scorer, returned after a two game absence to post two goals, while junior Virginia McConnell (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) added an additional goal for the Tigers.
Pacific is next in action on Friday, April 27th as they face No. 14 UC Santa Barbara in a consolation bracket contest at 10am.
