Tigers Steal A Game From Top Ranked UC Irvine, Eventually Fall 3-1

Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific men's volleyball team fell to top ranked UC Irvine 3-1, Friday, April 7th at the Spanos Center. Brian Adamson recorded a career-high 32 kills but the Tigers lost to the Anteaters 30-28, 22-30, 28-30 and 25-30. The loss drops the Tigers to 7-18 overall this season and 5-14 in the MPSF. Meanwhile the Anteaters improve to 24-3 overall and 17-2 in the MPSF.

The Tigers put up a fight early against the number one team in the nation, winning game one 30-28 behind seven kills from Adamson. The Anteaters came back with a vengeance in game two, tying the series at 1-1 with a 30-22 victory. UC Irvine also stole game three 30-28 and finished with a 30-25 game four win.

Adamson's 32 kills on 56 attempts set a season and career-high mark for the senior, playing in his next to last home game as a Tiger.

Junior Mitchel Hazelett passed assistant coach Dan Fisher with his 30th assist of the night on his way to 58. Hazelett is now third on Pacific's all-time career assist list with 3,036.

The Tigers are back in action, Saturday, April 8th, hosting the UCLA Bruins at the Spanos Center at 7:00.
