Sophomore Justin Baum (La Mesa, Calif.) drove in the Tigers' second run with an RBI groundout.

The Mustangs, however, got the two runs back in the bottom of the seventh on a double by Lansford and a one-out squeeze bunt by Matt Cooper. Cal Poly added another two runs in the eighth inning to take an 8-2 lead.
