Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific men's volleyball team defeated Cal State Northridge 3-2, Friday, March 10 at the Spanos Center. Behind 22 kills from Andreas Baboulidis and 20 from Pekka Seppanen the Tigers improved their home record to 5-2. Pacific is 6-13 overall and 3-9 in the MPSF.

The Tigers tripped up in the first game, falling 27-30 but redeemed themselves in the second set, winning 31-29. The Matadors didn't go quietly, taking the third set 27-30 but Pacific came alive in the fourth set to win 30-23. The Tigers took the game to the wire, answering back to every Northridge point and overtaking the Matadors 18-16 in the final set.

In addition to Baboulidis and Seppanen's 42 combined kills, senior Brian Adamson also contributed 17 kills and sophomore Simon Chen-Byerley recorded nine. Mitchel Hazelett tied a season-high with 63 assists on the night and Seppanen led the Tigers with 16 digs.

The Tigers hit a combined .409, breaking the previous season-high mark this season of .339.

The volleyball team will be in action tomorrow night as they host UC Santa Barbara at the Spanos Center at 7pm.
