Tigers Drop Three Straight to Stanford

Palo Alto, Calif. - The Pacific men's volleyball team fell in three straight sets to Stanford, February 8. After defeating the Cardinal twice already this season the Tigers could not make it three-in-a-row Wednesday night as they fell 23-30, 22-30 and 27-30.

Sophomore Pekka Seppanen led the Tigers with 11 kills but no one else for Pacific reached double-figures. For the three sets the Tigers had a .169 hitting percentage and only 37 total kills spread out among eight players. Junior Mitchel Hazelett returned to his setter duties, sharing time at the position with junior Garrett Morales. The two combined for 30 assists on the night.

The loss drops the Tigers to 3-8 overall and ties them with Stanford in the MPSF with identical 2-6 records.

The Tigers are back at home Friday, February 10, against UC Santa Cruz at 7:00 pm.
