Tigers Defeat Southern Cal, 3-1

Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific men's volleyball team defeated the USC Trojans at the Spanos Center Saturday, February 25. Behind a career-high 28 kills from senior Brian Adamson the Tigers collected three out of four sets to win, 30-25, 20-30, 30-25 and 30-22. The win gives the Tigers a 5-9 overall record and a 3-7 standing in the MPSF.

The Tigers quickly won the first set 30-25 as Adamson got off to a fast start, recording ten of his 28 kills in the first set alone. In game two play would even out as the Trojans took the upper-hand and stole game two, 30-20. In the third set the Tigers would win 30-25 and seal the deal in the fourth set, winning 30-22.

Alongside Adamson's 28 kills sophomore Pekka Seppanen recorded 13 kills as did sophomore Simon Chen-Byerley. Mitchel Hazelett set up 63 kills on the night, a season high in assists for the junior. Seppanen had 14 digs for the Tigers and junior libero Garrett Morales chipped in with 13.

The Tigers next travel to Indiana on March 3-4, where they will play back-to-back games against Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne.
