Stockton, Calif. - On the shoulders of a three-run eighth inning the Pacific baseball team completed a series sweep of the BYU Cougars at Stockton Ballpark, Saturday, February 11.

With the win, the Tigers moved to 5-1 on the season, while BYU fell to 0-3 overall.

Trailing 3-1 as they went to the plate in the bottom of the eighth, Pacific scored three runs on three hits and three walks. Senior Will Brindza (Sherwood, Ore.) then lined a hit out to left field, driving home Berezay to give the Tigers the 4-3 lead and the eventual victory.

Pacific got the scoring started in the bottom of the second as Berezay launched a mammoth home run over the right field wall.

BYU responded with a single run in the third on a solo home run by Daniel Vargas. The Cougars scored an unearned run in the fourth to take a 2-1 lead, then added a run in the seventh on two doubles.
