Pacific Shuts Out Appalachian State, 6-0

Stockton, Calif. - Senior Vianney Campos (Guadalajara, Mexico) led Pacific with four goals and an assist in the Tigers 6-0 victory over Appalachian State on senior day at Brookside Field Sunday. With the win the Tigers advanced to 10-6 on the season and 4-1 in NorPac conference play, while the Mountaineers fell to 1-12 on the year and 0-4 in NorPac action.

Campos' first two goals of the contest were scored within three minutes of each other. After scoring her first goal of the game 7:30 into the first period, Vianney's second goal was scored at the 10:20 mark by lofting a shot past the goalie into the back left corner of the net.

Freshman Mary Davies (Poway, Calif.) scored the Tigers' third goal of the game on an assist from Campos to extend the Tigers lead to three. The goal was the first of Davies' collegiate career and the assist was Campos' seventh on the season.

Vianney would later net the Tigers' last goal of the half with 9:43 left to play in the period sending Pacific into the break with a four goal advantage.

In the second half, sophomore Sasha Larsen (Vista, Calif.) scored her first collegiate goal for the Tigers on a penalty corner that was assisted by junior Melody Demel (Fallbrook, Calif.) and senior Marissa Atilano (Escondido, Calif.). Campos would later add her fourth goal of the game with a backhanded shot for the Tigers' sixth and final goal of the contest and her 29th goal on the year.

The tigers will next take their four game winning streak on the road on Oct. 28 when they will take on Cal in Berkeley, Calif. at 1:00 PM.
