Junior Jen Chaney scored two goals and had two assists as the Tigers defeated Syracuse 4-0, Friday.
The Tigers got off to a quick start as Chaney dropped in a goal just five minutes into the game off an assist by Erica Nestle. The favor was returned to Nestle with 22:28 left in the first as Chaney assisted Nestle for the freshman's first career goal. Chaney recorded another assist with 7:25 left in the first half as senior Laura Maurer scored her first goal of the season. The junior forward scored her second goal of the game on a steal and a breakaway with just under 27:00 to go in the second half.
The Tigers recorded 18 shots in the game to the Orange's six. Pacific also recieved ten penalty corners, two in the first four minutes of the game as Syracuse had only two the entire game.
The Tigers are back in action Saturday, September 3rd as they take on Michigan State at Berkeley.
