Laie, HI -- The Tigers could not hold onto to a two goal lead in the second half as the Seasiders outscored Pacific 5-2 down the stretch for a 9-7 victory and sweep on Monday, Sept. 6 in Laie, HI. Pacific fell to 0-2 on the season, while BYU-Hawai'i moved to 2-0.

It was a tightly played contest as both teams biggest lead was three goals. Sophomore Matt Turnbull scored his two goals of the game during the run, giving him six goals already on the season. Defensively, Pacific shut down the Seasiders in the quarter and would take a 5-3 lead into halftime.

BYU-Hawai'i took charge in the final two quarters as they shut down Pacific in the third quarter, taking the lead for good with 3:46 to go in the quarter on a Vanja Kalabic goal. Pacific was then outscored 3-2 in the final quarter, getting goals from Gonzalez and sophomore Andy Skora (San Clemente, Calif.) for the final score of 9-7 in favor of the Seasiders.
