The Tiger men's basketball team embarks on a trip to France on August 10, returning to Stockton on August 20. Pacific will make their fourth international trip in 2012, with trips to Scandinavia (2000) and Canada (2004 and 2008) helping the Tigers get a head start on the basketball season.
On this trip, the Tigers travel to France, visit Paris, Lyon and Nice from August 10-20. Pacific will take advantage of practice dates prior to heading overseas. In addition to competition, the Tigers will also experience French culture and visit historical landmarks and sites.
"Basketball in August, it doesn't get any better than this," said 25th year Tiger head coach Bob Thomason. "It's a great chance to get the guys together early and an opportunity to have a great 10 day tour."
The Tigers will take on five teams on the 11 day trip throughout France: Tremblay, Vanves, West Lyon, Terre Froide and Golfe-Juan.
