LODI, Calif. – The Pacific men's and women's cross country program will shift into high gear this weekend, hosting its annual Pacific Invitational at Micke Grove Golf Course on Friday at 4 p.m.
The men's 8k will start at 4 p.m., followed by the women's 6k at 5 p.m. in this year's rendition of the Tigers' home meet.
Pacific will look for key returners
Jett Davenport and
Logan Evans to lead the pack for the men's side, while
Valeria Espinoza,
Emma Kaufman and
Daphne Iosua representing top candidates to turn in promising results from a familiar place.
Davenport ran his fastest 8k of his career last time out at the UCR Invitational where he secured a time of 24:03.5 – good for a top 20 placement in that race.
Alexane Hunte put together a strong performance also in Riverside, notching placement amongst the top 100 with a time of 21:27.4. In her first season as a Tiger, Hunte has been a bright spot for the cross country program under first-year head coach Cherise Roberts.
At least year's Pacific Invitational, the Tigers' women's team was crowned champion, while the men posted a runner-up finish in 2025.
The course is mostly flat 2k loops with 4 loops for the men and three for the women. Scoring can be found
here.
